Customer Support Representative Card & Photo

We (DNP IEU) are the European subsidiary of a Japanese corporation which is listed in the stock market. Besides Sales and Marketing activities, various products are also assembled at and distributed from our location. Our product lines consist of TTR (Thermal Transfer Ribbons for industrial coding), Card (consumables for the production of various types of cards) and Photo (consumables for photo booths, photo printers, etcetera). Approximately 180 persons work at our location in Haarlem.

Customer support

The Customer Support Department currently consists of 8 team members and their manager, and handles the complete product range of our organisation (TTR, Card and Photo). The successful candidate will be joining a Customer Support Representative colleague for Card & Photo to strengthen our team in these business areas.

The Customer Support Representative works side-by-side with the Area Sales Manager for Card & Photo, and acts as the main contact for the day-to-day business. As such, you are the link between the (potential) customers and the internal organisation of DNP IEU. The work encompasses the full range of commercial activities, which are mainly: prospecting, customer data and pricing administration, handling sample requests and other customer enquiries, order monitoring and complaint handling. You also manage the customer product database and co-ordinate various matters with our internal departments, such as: Product Management, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality Assurance, Warehousing & Logistics.

You develop new opportunities, follow up and provide support to (potential) customers via telephone and e-mail, in close cooperation with the Area Sales Manager, with the aim to provide a high level of service and increase the business volume and profitability. As a member of the Customer Support team, you also provide each other support in their areas when needed, and report to the Customer Support Department manager.

Strong communicator with excellent administrative skills

You have previous experience in a similar inside sales position, and are able to work in an organised and accurate manner. In this dynamic environment, it is important that you are able to coordinate effectively with other departments, multi-task and establish priorities. You are a good listener who knows what questions to ask, and are able to communicate at every level within the company. You have experience in calling prospects and are comfortable in using CRM and ERP systems. Knowing what is important for a customer drives you in delivering great service to our customers.

We are looking for a proactive and service-minded person, a team player who enjoys a challenge and has the drive for professional development and improvement.

(Other) requirements:

  • Minimum education level: MBO+
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (French and/or other additional languages are a plus).
  • Affinity with Service Level Agreements and commercial administrative processes.
  • The ability to quickly learn (technical) product knowledge.
  • High-level computer software user skills with MS Office programs, CRM and ERP systems.
