DNP History

Over thirty years ago, Dai Nippon Printing was one of the first companies to pioneer thermal transfer ribbon technology and the oldest company to start business development in thermal transfer ribbon technology. DNP’s Imagingcomm division has since grown to be the world’s largest manufacturer of thermal transfer ribbons for barcode and dye-sublimation printers. DNP is also the world’s largest diversified printing/coating technologies company. At its 58 plants, both in Japan and overseas, DNP’s operations include commercial printing, packaging, decorative materials, electronics, business forms and information media supplies. DNP is a global corporation with $15 billion in annual revenue. 

DNP Imagingcomm Europe

Since 2008 Sony Chemicals' TTR division merged with DNP. The company is located in Haarlem, the Netherlands where we employ around 130 people. DNP Imagingcomm Europe sales territories extend from Europe & Middle East to Africa and Russia. 

DNP IEU has 2 main product lines: Thermal Transfer Ribbon (TTR) and Photo Products which are supplied to the (barcode) label-, photo- and id&creditcard industry, as well as holographic materials.
